EMT 265 Field Internship
(Contact Hours: 5) This is the final capstone course for the paramedic program. Field Internships assign students to a single preceptor who provides a summative evaluation to determine if the student is ready for entry level paramedic employment. Students are expected to function as the team leader to an ALS emergency response including assessment, provision of definitive treatments or supportive care, transport, and transfer of the patient. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of EMT 215, EMT 235, and EMT 245 is REQUIRED as well as AHA Healthcare Provider certification.
