HUM 210 China: Culture & History

(Contact Hours: 3) This course examines the contrasts and contradictions of the oldest continuing civilization on earth, China, as it takes its place in today's world. The course will focus on everyday activities that are found in all societies, so that students will see both the differences and what we all have in common. PREREQUISITE: Writing --- SAT: 25, Accuplacer: 90, NextGen Accuplacer: 270, ACT: 18, COMPASS: 70, or ENG 098 or ENG 099 is REQUIRED; Reading -- SAT: 22, Accuplacer: 53, NextGen Accuplacer: 233, ACT: 14, COMPASS: 65, or ENG 099, or TRS 096 and either TRS 104 or TRS 105 is REQUIRED; and Math -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
