PSI 250 World Security

(Contact Hours: 3) This is a study of major issues or aspects of world security. It attempts to reconceptualize the way we think about the nature and pursuit of security. There is an effort to stimulate a fundamental rethinking of the nature and the goals of human security, involving a recognition of the need to link national security to the well being of the world at large. The concept of security is examined in terms of military, diplomatic, economic, socio-cultural, and environmental perspectives. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of ENG 110 or ENG 160 is REQUIRED.
