TRS 096 Fundamentals of Reading
(Contact Hours: 3) This course is designed to help students refine literal comprehension skills and to develop analytic skills. Students work on refining skills in vocabulary acquisition, identifying main ideas and details, and summarizing. Furthermore, they are introduced to more analytic skills such as recognizing author's purpose, identifying propaganda techniques, and analyzing arguments. Corequisite: TRS 104 or TRS 105. Minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
