Kalamazoo Valley Community College’s Corrections Academy is a Michigan Sheriffs Coordinating and Training Council (MSCTC) approved, 160-hour certification program for correctional personnel supervising inmates in county jails. This 4-week program will focus on obtaining the skills necessary to maintain the safety and security of a correctional facility. Due to the limited space for each academy, candidate evaluations will be conducted to determine admittance into the program. 10 credits awarded upon graduation from academy.
