BUS 231 Business Info Infrastructure
(Contact Hours: 4) This course provides background in business information and communication infrastructures. It emphasizes the enterprise usage of information (what to compute rather than how to compute). It covers material on enterprise and global information and communication infrastructures in business. Topics include applications for managerial information, data warehousing, decision support systems, CAD/CAM, and logic. An emphasis is placed on the integration of business and information system strategies. Various electronic communication systems in networked, extended, and virtual enterprises will also be examined. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of BUS 101 and BUS 103 is REQUIRED.
