MATH 100 Health Careers Math

(Contact Hours: 1) This practical course is designed to provide a review of the mathematical applications inherent within the health careers programs. Topics of study include basic arithmetic, dimensional analysis, conversions between metric and household systems of measurement, calculations of solutions and medications, rates for intravenous medications, and dosage for infants and children. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced; and Math -- SAT: 23.5, ALEKS: 14, Accuplacer (Arithmetic): 80, NextGen Accuplacer (Arithmetic): 260, ACT: 18, COMPASS (PreAlgebra): 50, or MATH 094 is REQUIRED.
