SOC 207 Southern Africa/Region Studies

(Contact Hours: 3) This course provides students with an enhanced understanding of the history, democratization, economic development, aftermath of war and liberation struggles, racial and ethnic strife, apartheid, gender and politics, and the AIDS crisis in Southern Africa. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
