CIS 216 Python Programming

(Contact Hours: 5) This course is an introduction to the Python programming language for students with basic programming logic skills. This course will introduce the fundamentals of structured computer programming along with object oriented programming design in a modern development environment as well as explore the role Python has in security and cyber security. With emphasis and experiences in course work, the students will learn how to use available data types, methodologies common to Python, expressions, control statements, decision logic, file handling, functions, lists, inheritance, class creation and use, and debugging techniques in both a Console and Graphical User Interface (GUI) environment. PREREQUISITES: Successful completion of CIS 150 is REQUIRED.
