NURS 270 Clinical Decision Making
(Contact Hours: 2) This theory course will focus on management of client care. An integral part of the registered nurse's role while managing care of the client is to identify and solve problems through utilization of appropriate resources and the direction of other healthcare workers toward goals. Caring, ethics, excellence, holism, integrity, person-centered care, and diversity are essential topics covered in the course. Knowledge of legal and professional standards is also essential for nursing to remain a viable profession. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of NURS 222, NURS 224, NURS 236, NURS 237, NURS 245, and NURS 247 is REQUIRED.
