EMT 263 Employability Certifications
(Contact Hours: 3) The employability course runs concurrently with the field internship. The capstone review provides students with certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support, and Pediatric Emergencies for Pre-hospital Providers that are required for employment in the industry. The course is a capstone review of the topics introduced in the paramedic program in preparation for national board exams. This course includes a programmatic cumulative final written and practical exams that when passed qualify students for the NREMT board exam. This is the final opportunity for students to complete work on the NREMT PPCP and gain exam eligibility. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of EMT 234, EMT 236, and EMT 238 is REQUIRED.
