LPN 153 Adult LPN Practice II
(Contact Hours: 9) This course is designed to assist the LPN nursing student in developing skills necessary to meet the client's needs. The skills introduced in this course will expand upon the LPN nursing student's previous knowledge of surgical asepsis and the application of the nursing process. The content includes parenteral medication administration, principles of medical and surgical asepsis, and adult client nursing assessment skills. The course will also prepare the LPN nursing student to function in the roles of provider and manager of care and introduce the LPN nursing student to other members of the discipline of nursing. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of LPN 131, LPN 133, LPN 141, LPN 143, and LPN 148 is REQUIRED.
