ANM 140 Typography
(Contact Hours: 5) This course will explore advanced principles of type usage relative to printed as well as web and interactive media. Students will apply their knowledge of anatomy, structure, and form in the creation of an original typeface. This course involves the study of type as an art form and an integral element of visual communication. Students will study the structure, classification, and history of typography as well as creative typographic design in traditional print and digital media applications. The course involves hands-on work using industry standards, Adobe InDesign and other interactive media software. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of ANM 100 is REQUIRED.
