DHY 139 Clinical Dental Hygiene II
(Contact Hours: 7) This is a seminar/clinical course building upon previously learned skills and developing competency in advanced skills needed for clients with various types of periodontitis. Dental hygiene care planning includes periodintitis with moderate to severe attachment loss. This course includes specific learning objectives relating to the theories of health education learning and the management of various dental client behaviors using case studies and role playing. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of DHY 120, DHY 123, DHY 124, and DHY 129 is REQUIRED. Corequisite: DHY 131 is recommended.
