ELT 240 Hybrid Electric Drive Systems
(Contact Hours: 4) This course discusses the theory and operation of solid state devices used in electrical circuits and basic operation of transistors, rectifiers, FETs, MOSFETs, IGBTs, transformers, generators, and both AC and DC motors. General operating principles and characteristics of these electric machines will also be covered. Recommended prerequisite: AUTO 122 or instructor permission. Minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
