MATH 105 Culinary & Food Industry Math
(Contact Hours: 3) This math course is primarily intended for students in culinary/health and food innovation programs. The course will investigate several topics found in traditional mathematics courses but the approach will be culinary and food industry application-based. Emphasis will be placed on developing quantitative literacy in the following content areas: problem solving, probability and statistics, finance, and geometry and measurement. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced; and Math -- SAT: 23.5, ALEKS: 14, Accuplacer (Arithmetic): 80, ACT: 18, COMPASS (PreAlgebra): 50, or MATH 094 is REQUIRED.
