AUTO 175 Light Duty Diesel Engines
(Contact Hours: 5) This course is designed to provide students skills in the field of diagnosing light duty vehicle diesel fuel systems and related drivability and emission control concerns. Course content includes an advanced study of the latest theories and principles of troubleshooting procedures of late-model vehicle diesel fuel systems. Emphasis will be placed on advanced diesel engine diagnosis and repair, and diesel engine air, fuel, and emission systems diagnosis and repair. The use of a variety of modern diagnostic tools and equipment is included. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of AUTO 151 or instructor permission is REQUIRED. Corequisite: AUTO 122, AUTO 151, and AUTO 163 are recommended.
