COM 223 Interpers Comm Across Cultures
(Contact Hours: 3) This course is designed to follow COM 113 and builds on principles of interpersonal communication. Students will explore concepts and models specific to communication across cultural boundaries and then apply these to at least one cultural situation outside the U.S. Students will also examine the culture of U.S., various co-cultures and gender as a communication culture. To these ends, readings, discussions, practice, research and writing are used. Recommended prerequisite: COM 113. Minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
