SOC 102 Principles of Sociology

(Contact Hours: 3) This course consists of an investigation of the fundamental areas of sociology emphasizing the sociological perspective in the study of the individual in society including the global community, inequalities in contemporary society, social institutions, and an analysis of the rapidly changing world. PREREQUISITE: Reading -- SAT: 22, Accuplacer: 53, NextGen Accuplacer: 233, ACT: 14, COMPASS: 65, or ENG 099, or TRS 096 and either TRS 104 or TRS 105 is REQUIRED; Writing and Math -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
