EMT 246 Advanced Life Support III

(Contact Hours: 2) The third iteration of advanced life support field work with ALS agencies throughout West Michigan’s 5th district. Students have the opportunity to formulate a field impression, based on analysis of their assessment findings and integrate psychomotor skills in the creation and implementation of a treatment plan. Students are required to document patient encounters across a spectrum of ages and complaints to meet the requirements of the National Registry of EMTs paramedic competency portfolio as required for exam eligibility. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of EMT 236 is REQUIRED. Corerequisite: EMT 248 and EMT 254.
