ENG 209 Study of the Novel
(Contact Hours: 4) This class is an introduction to the study of the novel. Throughout the readings in this class, the elements of the novel will be critically evaluated and the message and purpose of the novel will be analyzed. By the end of the course students should have an understanding of this genre and its literary development from its beginnings in the 18th century to modern time. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of ENG 110 or ENG 160 is REQUIRED.
