AUTO 142 Automatic Trans/Axle Repair
(Contact Hours: 8) This course focuses on lecture and related laboratory experiences in diagnosis and repair of common automatic transmission/transaxles found on today's cars and light duty trucks. Theory is supported by complete tear down, inspection, and measurement of an automatic transmission in preparation for overhaul. The student will gain hands-on exposure by utilizing his/her or a shop transmission. Recommended prerequisite: AUTO 112. Minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
