SOC 110 Introduction to Social Work

(Contact Hours: 3) This course provides an overview of social work and the role of social workers in the United States. The establishment of social welfare and social service programs existing in the United States will be explored. Social work practice, ethics, and values in the context of social welfare policy in the United States will be examined. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
