ANM 103 History Animation/Gaming/TBM
(Contact Hours: 3) This course will explore the aesthetic and technical aspects of the time-based media. This includes animation, photography, videography and film, as well as how gaming came to be, the key players, genres, technology, job positions, current and past trends in design, the gaming culture, controversies (violence, role of parents, the media, etc.), and how games are being used as positive tools for learning. Students will examine the universal appeal and communication possibilities inherent in this ever changing medium. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
