HVAC 124 Refrigeration II
(Contact Hours: 4) This class emphasizes servicing refrigeration units. Studies in this course utilize the knowledge and techniques used in HVAC 123 as the background for continued studies of refrigeration and refrigerant control for both commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. Components of the course include defrost mechanisms, specialized refrigeration components and accessories, and service procedures. Refrigeration system design and component selection are covered in both residential and commercial refrigeration systems. Recommended prerequisite: HVAC 123. Minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
