NURS 267 Nursing Pharmacotherapeutic II
(Contact Hours: 1.5) This course is a continuation of NURS 167. This course focuses on pharmacology, drug therapy, pharmacologic-therapeutic classes of drugs, prototype drugs, and drug information resources. The student will apply and analyze the concepts of pharmacotherapeutics to the nursing process and critically think about the delivery of care to patients, their families, and the community. Nursing issues related to drug administration and treatment regimens will also be discussed. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of NURS 222, NURS 224, NURS 236, NURS 237, NURS 245, and NURS 247 is REQUIRED.
