ANM 101 History of Illustration
(Contact Hours: 3) In this course, the history of illustration will be examined from before the invention of the printing press to present, including poster and advertising art, cartooning, comics, science fiction, 3-dimensional illustrations, and the illustration of children's books. A survey of contemporary and historical illustration techniques and movements will also be studied. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
