BUS 102 Math for Business & Industry
(Contact Hours: 4) This course is a practical application of mathematics to the problems of business and industry including percentage, simple interest and discounts, averages, compound interest, and commission. Units of the course will cover depreciation, payroll, taxes, tables, and charts. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced; and Math -- SAT: 23.5, ALEKS: 14, Accuplacer (Arithmetic): 80, NextGen Accuplacer (Arithmetic): 260, ACT: 18, COMPASS (PreAlgebra): 50, or MATH 087, MATH 095, or MATH 097 is REQUIRED.
