LPN 158 Pharmacotherapeutics LPN II
(Contact Hours: 2.5) Designed for the LPN scope of practice, this course focuses on pharmacology, drug therapy, pharmacologic therapeutic classes of drugs, prototype drugs, and drug information resources. The student will recognize and apply the concepts of pharmacotherapeutics to the nursing process and critically think about the delivery of care to patients, their families, and the community. Nursing issues related to drug and treatment regimens will also be discussed. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of LPN 131, LPN 133, LPN 141, LPN 143, and LPN 148 is REQUIRED.
