PSI 101H Honors American Government

(Contact Hours: 3) This course serves as an introduction to American government by examining the characteristics of the legislative, executive and judicial branches. The course also looks at the role played by political parties, interest groups, the media, and foreign policy. This is a KVCC Honors Program course. It provides qualified and highly motivated students with an enriched academic environment through high-impact educational practices and experiential learning in a community of scholarly minded peers. Honors course sections facilitate additional academic challenge and lively interaction with peers and faculty members in small classes. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
