NURS 167 Nursing Pharmacotherapeutics I
(Contact Hours: 2.5) This course focuses on pharmacology, drug therapy, pharmacologic therapeutic classes of drugs, prototype drugs, and drug information resources. The student will recognize and apply the concepts of pharmacotherapeutics to the nursing process and critically think about the delivery of care to patients, their families, and the community. Nursing issues related to drug and treatment regimens will also be discussed. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of NURS 100, NURS 102, NURS 104, and NURS 105 is REQUIRED.
