CIS 240 Cyber Defense

(Contact Hours: 5) This course will introduce students to various testing tools to analyze networks for vulnerabilities, apply behavioral analytics to networks and devices to prevent, detect, and combat cybersecurity threats. Topics include threat and vulnerabilities analysis, security solutions to manage infrastructure, security operations, and monitoring. Students will apply their knowledge to create procedures for incident response reports, check potential indicators of compromise and apply basic digital forensic techniques. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of CIS 140 and CIS 221 is REQUIRED.
