HVAC 118 Electricity/HVAC Controls I
(Contact Hours: 4) This course is the study of the principles, practices and uses of basic electricity as it pertains to heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration. It is a study and use of electrical instruments including basic terms, volts, ohms, amps, power factor, AC & DC circuits, single and three-phase, motor protection, overloads, basic transformers, and appropriate safety procedures. Minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
