HVAC 230 Heat Pumps & Chilled Water Sys
(Contact Hours: 3) This course will cover the fundamentals of heat transfer, flow rates, pressures, temperature ranges, temperature splits, and refrigerant charging. There will be an emphasis of basic geo-thermal systems including open and closed loop, air to air systems, and chillers including cooling towers. Recommended prerequisite: HVAC 110, HVAC 119, HVAC 124, HVAC 133, HVAC 210, HVAC 220, or instructor permission. Minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
