NURS 237 Integrated Pediatric Nursing

(Contact Hours: 4.5) The course is designed to assist nursing students to develop those skills necessary to meet the basic and complex needs for a pediatric client. The content includes physical assessment, advanced medication administration, and IV therapy. This course will also provide the vehicle for the application of the roles associated with provider and manager of care in an acute care facility and permit nursing students an opportunity to function as a member within the discipline of nursing. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of NURS 165, NURS 166, and NURS 167 is REQUIRED. Corequisite: NURS 222, NURS 224, NURS 236, NURS 245, and NURS 247.
