ELT 228 Controls 4: Advanced PLC
(Contact Hours: 5) This is a lecture/laboratory course introducing the student to the products, processes, and programming utilized to implement advanced PLC control and data acquisition systems. Students will use programming software and PLC hardware to develop programs and systems for advanced PLC applications. SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems and interfacing/configuration techniques employing remote terminal units, programmable controllers, operator interfaces, and other commercially available hardware will also be addressed. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of ELT 222 or instructor permission is REQUIRED.
