The barbering program is a year-round program that encompasses both theoretical and practical education about hair and skin care services. This curriculum provides a comprehensive exploration of the historical context of barbering while highlighting haircutting, beard trims, shaves, and scalp health. It also encompasses training in various coloring techniques, chemical relaxing, and permanent waving procedures. Students will acquire knowledge regarding skin growth, diseases, and disorders, in addition to facial massage and treatment methodologies. The curriculum includes cleaning, sanitation, and disinfection protocols for all services. The program also incorporates foundational principles in anatomy and physiology, chemistry, and microbiology. Students will also gain insights into the business aspects of the barbering industry.
