The cosmetology program is a year-round program that encompasses both theoretical and practical education about hair, skin, and nail services. This curriculum provides a comprehensive exploration of the historical context of cosmetology while highlighting the significance of shampooing and scalp health. It encompasses training in various haircutting and coloring techniques, as well as in chemical relaxing and permanent waving procedures. The curriculum includes instruction on manicures and pedicures, with an emphasis on cleaning, sanitation, and disinfection protocols for all services. Students will acquire knowledge regarding skin and nail growth, diseases, and disorders, in addition to facial massage and treatment methodologies. The program also incorporates waxing techniques and foundational principles in anatomy and physiology, chemistry, and microbiology. Students will also gain insights into the business aspects of the beauty industry.
