EMT 265 Field Internship
(Contact Hours: 5) This is the final capstone course for the paramedic program. Field Internships assign students to a single preceptor who provides a summative evaluation to determine if the student is ready for entry level paramedic employment. Students are expected to function as the team leader to an ALS emergency response including assessment, provision of definitive treatments or supportive care, transport, and transfer of the patient. Prior Learning credit available - students must consult a counselor or advisor prior to beginning the assessment process. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of EMT 234, EMT 236, and EMT 238 is REQUIRED.
