EMT 235 Trauma Rotation
(Contact Hours: 6) This course is designed around patient care experiences in a variety of clinical settings providing students opportunity to treat trauma victims. Patient encounters give the student supervised experiences managing rescue, extrication and multiple casualty situations. Training in Incident Command structure, bio-terrorism, and hazardous materials response is a practiced course component. This course is to be taken concurrently with EMT 231. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of EMT 201, EMT 211, and EMT 215 is REQUIRED. Corequisite: EMT 231, EMT 241, and EMT 245.
