EMT 245 Cardiac Clinical Rotation
(Contact Hours: 7.5) This course is designed around patient care experiences in a variety of clinical settings providing students opportunity to treat patients with cardiac disease. Patient encounters give the student supervised experience managing cardiovascular disease pathology relating to heart attack and stroke. Treatments focus on the use of pharmacologic agents and electrical therapy. This course is to be taken concurrently with EMT 241. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of EMT 201, EMT 211, and EMT 215 is REQUIRED. Corequisite: EMT 231, EMT 235, and EMT 241.
