LPN 133 Adult LPN Practice I
(Contact Hours: 12) This course is designed to assist the beginning LPN nursing student to develop skills necessary to meet the client's needs. The skills introduced in this course will expand upon the LPN nursing student's previous knowledge of surgical asepsis and the application of the nursing process. The content includes parenteral medication administration, principles of medical and surgical asepsis, and adult client nursing assessment skills. The course will also prepare the LPN nursing student to function in the roles of provider and manager of care and introduce the LPN nursing student to other members of the discipline of nursing.
