HORT 278 Horticulture Internship
(Contact Hours: 3) The horticulture internship helps students develop professional and personal skills by immersing them into a career-related work experience. In addition, the academic portions of the course (e.g., weekly journal entries) are designed to promote personal and professional growth. The internship is coordinated by the student in cooperation with a green industry partner who will work with them and provide constructive, professional feedback. Students will be in weekly contact with their instructor (and academic advisor, if necessary) to ensure they have an impactful internship experience. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of HORT 100, HORT 110, HORT 115, HORT 120, and HORT 125 is REQUIRED. Departmental approval is also REQUIRED.
