PHY 111 College Physics I
(Contact Hours: 5) This is a first non-calculus course in general college physics intended for students in pre-science. Topics included are mechanics, heat, and sound, using mathematical skills of algebra and trigonometry. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced; and Math -- SAT: 24.5, ALEKS: 25, Accuplacer (Arithmetic): 99, NextGen Accuplacer (Arithmetic): 279, ACT: 19, or COMPASS (PreAlgebra): 72 is REQUIRED.
