PSY 250 Abnormal Psychology
(Contact Hours: 3) This is an introductory examination of the field of abnormal psychology with special emphasis placed on evidence-based behavior change strategies, community mental health concepts, and cross-cultural comparisons. The current editions of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) and International Classification of Diseases (ICD) will be used to examine the essential aspects of various disorders. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of PSY 150 is REQUIRED.
