SOC 105 Introduction to Gerontology

(Contact Hours: 3) This course is designed to introduce the student to the field of gerontology. Students will gain an understanding of the processes involved in human aging, emphasizing physiological, economic, social, cognitive, interpersonal, and cultural aspects that influence the well-being and social functioning of older adults. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
