DHY 249 Clinical Dental Hygiene III

(Contact Hours: 13) This is a seminar/clinical course continuing the development of routine client therapy skills already introduced with the addition of supplemental dental hygiene services as needed. Students are expected to become more efficient in time management for services provided as well as increased productivity with increased quality. Dental hygiene services are more focused on evidence based intervention, cultural diversity, medically compromised and ethics within a dental practice. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of DHY 131 and DHY 139 is REQUIRED. Corequisite: DHY 241, DHY 242, DHY 244, and DHY 248 are recommended.
