BUS 260 Editing Business Documents

(Contact Hours: 3) This course is intended to develop editing and proofreading proficiency in students to prepare them to write, edit, and proofread professionally written business documents and communication. Designed to review business writing principles and the use of proofreading symbols, emphasis is on recognition of inaccuracies in the following areas: grammar usage and mechanics, punctuation, spelling, content, and formatting in the context of legal, medical, and business applications. This course prepares students with the skills required in business, industry, legal, and medical work environments. PREREQUISITE: Successful completion of ENG 110 or ENG 160 is REQUIRED. BUS 160 or instructor permission is recommended.
