EDMT 245 Machine Design
(Contact Hours: 8) This course teaches students to design and build a complex mechanical system. Design procedures including the selection or design of machine elements such as bearings, shafts, clutches and other devices under conditions of both static and dynamic leading are utilized. The principles of machine controls are also introduced and employed. CAD software will be used. Recommended prerequisite: EDMT 210 and EDMT 215. Minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
