HUM 220 Film Interpretation

(Contact Hours: 4) This course studies the motion picture as an art form. The course will look at films in a variety of genres and from a variety of viewpoints, including those produced outside the English-speaking world. Students will examine different approaches to film-making, how stories are told on film, the effectiveness of film as a medium of expression, and its impact on audiences both contemporary and past. PREREQUISITE: Writing and Reading -- minimum benchmarks will be enforced.
